The Fourth China (Shanghai) International Technology Import and Export Fair opened in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Hall on April, 21. Around the core idea that “Technology Makes Life Better” and with the theme of “Technology-driven Development, Intellectual Property Protection and Technology Trade Promotion”, the trade show served to provide four major functions of technology presentation, projects match-making, trade services and forum activities. In order to make local companies introduce more advanced technology and promote an adjustment of industry structure, Suzhou Productivity Promotion Center (SZPPC) set special booths in the hall to advertise Joinew, an open platform of technology transfer, and organized many local technology managers to take part in the exhibition. Many visited the zones of specialized technology, science and technology innovation, makers, and trading services, and conducted communication with many from Shanghai higher education institutions and learned their advanced achievements in technology during the fair show. 
 

The China (Shanghai) International Technology Import and Export Fair (or Shanghai Fair) is a national-level international professional trade show approved by the State Council and co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State Intellectual Property Office and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. The Fair this year attracted 172 overseas companies from 22 countries and regions such as Japan, Hungary, Finland and Belgium. 
 

The fair helped improve the technological exchanges and cooperation between SZPPC and higher education institutions and benefit the commercialization of research findings and technology trade in the city.
